Lockdown

This was a difficult blog to write in these very strange times.
But perhaps people are begining to think towards special occasions when we will all be able to get together and do some celebrating. What better time to be planning for than Christmas.....
Nobody knows how things will be by then. Whether the social distancing will still be advised, if we will be allowed large groups of people , or if we will be back to a kind of 'new normal'.
There is no doubt that things will have changed and I am sure many of you feel they have already changed, with wonderful examples of thoughtfulness and kindness to others.
At Hans Christmas Andersen we are still tending to the trees, making sure they are in tip top condition ready for the Christmas season for our wholesale and retail customers.
We have started to plan for this year, as we normally do. However, as we have no idea how life will be by then, we are putting together new ideas and different arrangements to cover all eventualities.
As soon as we have things in place, we will let you know what we are doing. It is all very exciting and we can't wait to share it with you.
During lockdown, as well as looking after the trees and the reindeer, we have been using the time to tend the garden and grow some vegetables. It's all blooming well in this beautiful weather.
The rest of the time available to us we are using to make some much needed masks, scrubs, gowns and scrub bags for the wonderful frontline staff in Surrrey and for our friends at Cranleigh Medical Practice.
